Jesse began his development career in games, shipping several titles for the Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. When the iPhone was released Jesse tranistioned into the mobile space, but kept a strong focus on user experience and rounded out his skillset with Ruby on Rails in order to support the data needs of his applications. Jesse has led teams across a diverse set of projects, from a video relay service for the deaf and hard of hearing, to the tour guide app at OneWorld Trade Center in New York, to virtual reality experiences.
Jesse took a non-traditional path to the tech world, starting off as a carpenter, building decks and docks. Through his efforts he'd transform a pile of boards and a box of nails into something more. Being able to drive the creative process has stuck with him, it drove him from supporting computer users to building computer software. During Jesse's career he's been fortunate to be able to find joy in creation, not just the creation of software, but the creation of software teams. Most important to Jesse is that he's had the chance to help other people with non-traditional backgrounds launch their careers, he's been fortunate to bear witness to some truly life changing transformations.
When he's not creating you'll find Jesse enjoying food and travels with his family.
